can my isp block websites?

Thread Starter
I was just wondering if ISPs can legally block specific websites. It seems after a lil investigation that mine is blocking the pirate bay. I found this out because everyone who has my isp that i know cannot get onto the pirate bay, but when I go into town and get on someones dsl line its perfectly fine. By the way I have wifi if anyone is wondering. Thanks

having wifi has nothing to do with your ISP, usually...

Getting wifi is as simple as putting a wireless router on any internet connection. They are not associated to each other the way your thinking...

If you live in America, your ISP shouldn't be blocking any website. Shouldn't, and aren't/are are different things. They could be blocking websites, but chances are, if you call out your ISP on it they will deny it...
