Question regarding Striker II formula bios

Thread Starter
Does CPU Voltage mean Vcore ?
Or is it CPU VTT that edits the vcore ?

I can't get this q6700 over 3 ghz without it failing to load windows - my log is something like 1.32v 2.66 ghz -2.99 ghz stable
3.00 ghz @ 1.34-1.5 vcore - fail to load windows.

I'm assuming that CPU voltage in this bios isn't Vcore ? Or why the **** am i not breaking 3.0ghz.

CPU Voltage is the vcore.

Also, I am not really surprised that the Striker II can't get past 3ghz.

I know several people with the same cpu / mobo combo as me. They didn't seem to have a problem getting it past 3 ghz.

I have only got 3Ghz due to a hot B3 chip, but make sure you increase the GTL Ref Voltage to +30mv

Well, looks like the usual. Asus NVIDIA boards have been known to have FSB holes.

Try to bump the NB/SB to 1.42v first, if that does not do it (did not for me, but did for others) then try 1.5v. (this is 100% stable for me)

I am using an E8400, however I think the logic will work for your chip as well.

Good Luck,

Sam
