|after what seems like a million years of development, FunCom's massively multiplayer role-playing game -- Age of Conan, is now live for early access players. Besides a 15 gig patch and long server queues the launch seems to be going smoothly (ahem). Hopefully they get things sorted out (plus open a crapload of more servers) by Tuesday when the retail game goes live. I snagged my copy; how 'bout you?|
The patch is under 2GB guys... It was a bug with some users. They announced it on the official AoC forums and said to verify/repair the game if you had the problem.
The total space of the game patched and installed is 25.2GB, 23GB of that is compressed on to 2 DVDs that come with the game.
Might want to add that to the original post so people know.
I couldn't care less about this game. I just posted it just for the heck of it.
Why because mainly the fact the concept of having to pay for subscription for a game you have already paid bloody 50-80 bucks for. is there really a point. The thing which makes a really good RPG is the single player content rather than multiplayer content. I enjoy playing RPG(singleplayer) because of the Storyline and what you can do.
Thats I don't pay wow; Wow main focus is MMO not single player.
I don't want to pay blizzard entertainment 20 bucks a month to manage by profile. I rather save it up on a very good single-player or multiplayer shooter in which you don't have to dig deep to keep playing it. I know I am gonna get a beating from WOW fans and MMO players but can you really be stuffed paying 20bucks a month for one single game?
20*12 = $240 bucks for one game get stuffed. I can get 3-4 games which I can enjoy.
