Run benchmarks.

There is no need to, just jack up the voltage if you need to and make sure its kept cool.

3dmark06 will stress the nb as it tests cpu, mem and gpu aswell as loading from the hdds.

its loading from the hard drive is fairly small, the cpu test are hardly a worthwhile test to test any stability of the cpu, northbridge, ram or anything like that. hell it is hardly a video card stress test.

I stress my NB as followed, Prime 95 Blend test and ATI Tools 3D view, this way you stress your NB because you put load on CPU, memory and grahpics card.

Yeah, to stress your NB you must stress everything attached to it.

I like to run Prime95 large FTTs, S&M 1.9.1's multi-threaded memory test, and ATITool's artifact scan, simultaniously. Nothing I've found stresses the NB better.

This kind of testing has helped me resolve some formerly mysterious errors.
