Difference between single and dual slot edition(8800GT)

Thread Starter
Hey, was finally getting around to purchasing my video card. I have decided that I will be getting an 8800 GT for the fantastic prices that are going around, and the reliable performance that people have been getting out of them. I've narrowed my search down to a couple of choices. I was just wondering what the difference between these two cards would be, does the dual slot just run a lot cooler?

EVGA 512-P3-N800-AR GeForce 8800GT

EVGA 512-P3-N801-AR GeForce 8800GT

Also this XFX card has an amazing price, and was considering this also. I just didn't know whether this cooler was better than the stock, and how the whole card looks a lot smaller?
XFX PVT88PYSF4 GeForce 8800GT

That last card compares to this one... This also comes with a game...was leaning towards this one to buy the most..
XFX PVT88PYDF4 GeForce 8800GT

As you can see, there are many different choices on the 8800 GT's..I just need some help picking them out. Thanks for all of your help!

One has a bigger heat sink.

Dual slot is cooler (exhausts out of case), but using rivatuner, set gpu fan to 80% all the time & @ startup, it will cool both just as well.

Lol yeah, a lot of choices... The bigger EVGA 8800GT has dual slot cooling which should help keep it a bit cooler. The bare looking XFX with the zalman fan looks pretty bare.

The difference between XFX and EVGA... XFX has a double life time warranty which means even if you sell it to someone else the warranty will be good for an other lifetime transfered in their name. They also support volt modding for extreme overclocking. EVGA offers a lifetime warranty and a step up program so if you want to get a better card you only pay the difference within. I'm sure there is more than that. I will left the Graphic gurus fill that in.

edit: sorry, both companies apparently support volt modding.
