I signed.

The only reason I would ever use Vista is when I get 4GB of RAM (on the computer after the one I'm getting in a month), and need 64-bit.
Blackbox.

Ouch..

In a few years when programs require 4GB or more of ram, they'll be forced to upgrade so it doesn't matter. If you are a gamer, you'll need it in just a couple years or less. And if you are a heavy photoshop user, you could use that ram now.

Considering how cheap ram is lately, Dev's will probably be making more ram hungry programs.

You can get 64-bit Windows XP, which will also run 4+ GB or RAM. (Not that I'd actually recommend it over Vista.)

Quit whining. If you want to keep XP so bad and still want support for it go get Windows Home Server. At $150 it's not a bad little OS. It also has stuff for file sharing built in.

Bwahaha!

What a joke. 200,000 out of how many million? It's not going to happen.

Here's the OS market share break down for March, 2008 according to Wikipedia.

Windows XP 78.93%
Windows Vista 13.24%
Windows 2000 2.82%
Windows 98 0.58%
Windows 2003 -
Windows NT -
Windows 0.31%
Windows CE -
Windows 95 -
Windows other -

- indicates no information available.

I think that this gives you a pretty clear idea of how few people have signed this petition. Yes, it's almost 1/4 of a million people but they'll need a lot more.

Any issues associated with 64-bit operating systems are generally due to the same lazy developers that leave issues with their software for Vista.
