Looks like I'm going to have to remove the clip. I don't understand why you'd need this clip anyways. The cpu fits into the socket without it and the heatsink keeps it there.

Thaks all for the quick replies but I doubt a washer would help. If the cpu sits lower than the clip then no amount of pressure would help. Maybe I'll remove the clip AND use the washers.

I think I just scratched the H*ll out of the heatsink.

Idk It gave me like a 2-3c difference but if its lower then the Socket i think your pretty much screwed I have no clue now sorry.
