Hi Is there chance to overclock an IBM Thinkcentre 8188 Kgf 2.8 Ghz ?
i tried clockgen , setfsb and softfsb , but unfortunately i don't know what pll to use ... I hope software overclocking is possible ...

Thanks

Not to sound negative but it's possible you won't have much luck with that. If you do happen to find an app that will work for overclocking it I would suggest you nuke most of the IBM software that is pre-loaded if you haven't already or do a fresh install of Windows. Software overclocking is definitely a horrible method with mixed results but in your case I know that there are no options in the bios in regards to overclocking any components.

I think software overclocking is potentialy possible for 8188 because
i tried different pll s in clockgen and most of them give mi an error
but some - seems that can read some information from pll and when i try to set new
fsb - there is a result , unfortunately not very usefull result - computer just stops and screen goes dark - but this make me think that overclocking is possible , if someone has written appropriate driver for clockgen or similar program. I think i managed to downclock the computer - by accident - but i am not shure .
Yes In BIOS there is no option for overclocking.
And Hardware overclocking is to dangerous (if possible for 8188) - but as last exit it might be acceptable.
