What in the world is wrong with my comp? - Page 2

It defenitely sounds like you have some sort of virus on your computer.. thats just too weird to be a hardware/os/software issue.. Anyhow I was reading about some issues and found this. It may be of some help. Here

-Edit
One guy in that thread changed his mouse and it fixed his problem, try doing that and see if that works.

Could well be the mouse, as you have re installed the os and it still happens.

Yes def change the mouse, but download all the free anti-malware programs you can. But also some trojans are NOT cleaned by any type of harddrive format as they stay in the high end memory and reinstall themselves. You may need to purchase a program that can actually run BEFORE the HE memory boots and clean that stuff before it loads.

(I speak from experience from a 486DX2 up to a PIII)

Well I guess it was just the mouse that was the problem. I went and borrowed my moms mouse and hooked it up and now everything is working fine. THANK GOODNESS! This was an expensive computer for me at the time and I don't have the money to get a new one and it's the only one I have to do my stuff on. So now I just need to go to walmart and get a cheap little mouse for now. Man I'm relieved it was just the mouse....
