Hello, heres my HD Tune results on a brand new SG 7200.11

Just put a newly built rig today with only VISTA installed, and this is what I got... am I in the normal expected range?

yes

try hdtach it'll give you a bit higher avg read

mine had 92mb/s on hdtach

That looks on par with one of mine which is identical except my temp is 41 Degrees. I've heard the 7200.11's are close in performance to a WD Raptor. I have four Seagates now which I am very happy with up to this point.

actually I tried hdtach, but since I have Vista, it wont work...or will it for you guys?

right click, select properties, use winxp sp2 compatibility mode

run as admin
