Q6700.

Isn't quad fire a failure?

The current 45nm quads apart from the extreme's are not great.

Q6700 is 4 cores. Once you OC it, stock fsb doesn't mean that much any more.

No...

This comes down to personal preference...

Do you want two cores running at 4Ghz...

Or 4 Cores running at 3.6Ghz...

Bearing in mind you will not see the difference between the two clock speeds in windows under general use. The quad however will mince the dual cores in supported games, benches and multi core apps.

Q6700 gets my vote. I upgraded from a Q6600 B3 to a Q6700 G0 and its so much better.
