Does the block make a difference?

My temps have been 10c over amb on idle and 20c over on load. I.E. 36 idle, 44 load @ 23 amb. I have a used White water block that has the three channel bars to break up the flow. Would I see better temps with a block that is more suited for a dual core?

i couldn't say about dual core, but i have seen some people see 5°c drops on quads just from installing the quad nozzle for the fuZion.

my guess is yes, as it has been designed for it.

I was just wondering, I got the block used and the person before got the block used. The flow plate looks nothing like the discontinued white water. mine is 3 bars in the channel and the one on the web has tiny post ( about 25 on them ) . This must be an old block. I've reset it a few times and I get the same temps. It's no big deal now, but this summer I'll hit 27-28 amb in my room. I might have to buy a new block, I'm just not sure what to get.
