6600 vs 9450, and ati vs nvid

Thread Starter
im curious. I bought a new mobo a while back, so i could run the p35 quads. Should i still go for the 9450 instead of 6600. Id be happy with just 3 ghz if it ran cool, but i do want to save money. mabey the 9300?
Also my mobo runs crossfire, not sli. So im thinking to save money and go crossfire. I have a gtx but i can sell it and in the future crossfire might be better.

What options are best, and cheapest.
What do you think?
thanks all

personaly im going with the 9450 because of the much bigger cache, cooler temps, and support for sse4- which once programs start coming out for it will run 20% faster

The Q6600 has much better overclocking. Its proven. Look at how many people have the Q6600. The 45nm quads just dont OC well, especially with 9300 with the 7.5 multi. Look at the Q6700. The better chips go to that and it has a 10x multi.

If you have a crossfire board I say go ATI.

if you're concerned about saving money then go with the Q6600. it will be more than sufficient at 3.0ghz +. unless you do some hardcore gaming at high res, with lots of AA, why upgrade the card you have?

The 8800GTX should service well. Anyway, the 9x Q6600 is the way to go. If you budget the money for Q9450, I would go for 10x Q6700.

Not a promise, with Abit Pro, I would say 3.8G under proper cooling.
