6600 vs 9450, and ati vs nvid - Page 2

but ati = cheaper, and crossfire is compatable on my board. Im not going to bother with it now but my gtx is being bottle necked i think with my dual core so

I'm assuming you have a zalman 9700 never heard of a 9800. I would go quad core personally over duo. I had a e8400 @4.2ghz and a q6600 @3.7ghz and sold my duo.

My vote goes to the q6600. You should be able to overclock it to 3.4ghz easy. Don't get the q9300 its a waste of money and multiplier is 7.5. The q9450 is overpriced and not worth the money.

I won't suggest going crossfire any p35 chipset, I had 2 3870 crossfire on my abit ip-35 pro and didn't make much of a difference in actual gaming.

C2D @ 3.4 is no bottleneck niether is a 8800GTX so......

your actually OK right now....

yes, if your considering crossfire, than 3870's would be good for you...

and your cpu still wouldnt be a bottleneck
