Q6600 Will not got above 3,150 Mhz

Thread Starter
My system can be seen in my sig. My voltages are all set to auto except for my vCore (1.400) and mempry (1.975). I have had three different 790i Motherboards with this chip and none will go over a 1400 Mhz FSB with a 9X multiplier.

Does anyone know what could be wrong. Please post any BIOS settings you need me to list.

If it makes you guys feel better, I am running 1.55v VCORE. I had a wall around 1400 FSB also. I find it best for 24/7 running as 3.6 requires me to pump alot of voltage which I do not like to do when not gaming (mostly during the week).

How big was the hole? I dont mind big voltages to the chip as i don't plan on keeping this chip very long. I will be getting a QX9650 this summer.
