noob need some assistance on OC GA-P35-DS3L

Thread Starter
I have been searching and searching info needed to OC my rig but past two days there is nothing that I can understand clearly. I did went through 300 some pages of the ga-p35-DS3L but nothing there unless I missed something.
Can anyone show me a link to a thread with such info for me to a walk through on settings of my bios.

I only want a stable 3.6-3.8ghz on my e8400 and not trying to hit the holy grail of 4ghz and beyond

Do I put on auto voltage?

And how do I change the memory timing and voltage settings. Is it in the bios?

I need a walk through

Ok, here are my settings, its for a Q6600 but its the same board.

Advanced BIOS Features
CPU Enhanced Halt (C1E) Disable
CPU Thermal Monitor 2(TM2) Disable
CPU EIST Function (Note) Disable

MB Intelligent Tweaker(M.I.T.)
CPU Host Clock Control Enabled
x CPU Host Frequency (Mhz) This is your cpu speed, put this at desired speed.
PCI Express Frequency (Mhz) 100
System Memory Multiplier (SPD) This is your RAM speed multi. Put this on 2.0,2.4,or 2.5, depending on how fast you want your RAM.

System Voltage Control
DDR2 OverVoltage Control: +.03v (default is 1.8v)
PCI-E OverVoltage Control [Normal]
FSB OverVoltage Control +0.2v
(G)MCH OverVoltage Control +0.2v (This is your northbridge voltage, might need +0.3 when running over 400 FSB with quad)
CPU Voltage Control - This is your Vcore, find out what your max voltage is on your chip and dont go over it.

Depending on what bios you have, you might have to press [CTRL+F1] in the main bios menu to access advanced memory timing options.

Let us know if you need anymore help.

This forum has a huge section of guides. You should of been able to easily find the guides section or thread compilation. Yes, you do change RAM timings and voltages and all that other stuff in the BIOS by hitting Del on the DS3L.

Here: http://www.overclock.net/new-members...mpilation.html

From the sounds of it, you clearly didn't go through the 300 pages of the DS3L thread.
