Resize I think. Like I wanna make some space from my Windows partition (which is the only partition on the HDD) for Linux.

It depends on how much data it has to move.

Say your partition is 500GB, and you want to make 100gb of space at the end of the drive. If you have 100gb of data there, then it has to move all that to the beginning of the drive to make room. If all your data is already AT the beginning, it'll finish in less than a second.

I currently have 132GB used, and want to make 210GB free... How much time do you think it will take?

before you even begin to shrink,
BACKUP YOUR DATA!!!!!!!!

Now then. Make sure you have defragged a few times. (as this helps make the time a lot faster because it doesn't have to move any files before changing the size of the partition)

Then resize the partition. Then boo into windows so it can do the chkdsk thing. Then you can resize again or make partitions,
