2x 8800GTs stomp
And thats why every board I buy for every build consists of SLI mobo and SLI gpu. I dont see how people can have a single card. always end up running SLI! You know why??? So i can get every last cent out of them. First card costs $329.00 and then wait a litle while and I payed $125.00 for the second one.

Looking forward to that X2? Lol just thought it was funny. I know you used to have a couple 8800GTS 320mb cards.

i agree i mean 9800gx2 has only been on the shelve for not even 5 months, so now something better comes out, why didnt nvidia realease these cards when the 9sereies came out.

Im just looking at it like this, when more games catch up with my hardware I will begin to look at upgrading.

But for now, the only game that i have played that i cant max out and run is crysis. And im still pulling 25-40 FPS @ 1600x1200 w settings of H/VH.

So for know I think im ok

Amazed, again.

I have never seen anything that credible.

It's on the internat, so it must be true!

My question always is why would nvidia release this info? Its deff not good for sales of current cards... I mean its 2 times faster than the best out now(gx2), which is barely 6months old?

But I have to say if its as powerfull as they claim, im gettin one
Barely 2 months old.

edit.
Parently this wasn't in news section...

Its only for benchies. I want to see if it really is the king. I have a 9800GX2 to bench right along side it.

I still have the GTS 320's I wont get rid of them. maybe thats an exaderations. At least not at the second.

See I told you i still have them!

Not a chance in hell. It may be slightly faster, but even then i don't see how. The 9800GX2 is 2x GPU's that make up it's performance. How can one single GPU come along in such a short period of time and blow it away? It's purely illogical.

Everyone knows that Crysis is the only game that is ridiculously demanding, and this sounds like a marketing ploy just telling ppl what they want to hear. It's rubbish...

That card is going to cost a bomb. From whats been posted in the news section about the new 4800 series from ati, they will have a 20% increase in performance over the 9800gx2 (in the case of the 4870) and it will only cost $250 iirc. If nvida makes a card that performs well but costs the roof then they will have trouble selling it against the new cheep ati cards.

X1950XTX Crossfire Vs 8800GTX Cough.. They werent that close together though. It is possible though dont doubt it. Until we see real proof then this is just a myth.. Just like how brisbane was supposed to be 20% faster than Core 2
