can't say that I saw this one coming but it looks like the latest Splinter Cell game is so bad that Ubisoft decided to scrap it in its current form and go back to the old drawing board.
Splinter Cell Conviction has been taken "back to the drawing board" by Ubisoft Montreal.
That's according to a report in the latest Xbox World 360 mag. Though Ubisoft isn't saying anything, the mag says it's heard that the surprising development decision has forced Splinter Cell back into the festive period of 2009 - or as late as Spring 20.
Either they decided to listen to customers who had problems with the AI system in assasin creed or they read what fans want out of this game and have the classic splinter cell style. I hope they do have the classic splinter cell style or else its not splinter cell. Seriously, I was hoping to get this game at the time of release which was meant to be in 08 now it could be till 2009 damn it.

yeah I wasnt looking forward to having sam fisher with a beard and a mop hair cut walking around a busy park pick-pocketting cops. It may sound 'innovative' but it just wouldnt be fun. Splinter cell is all about using light and dark to go unnoticed and infiltrate enemy bases and buildings. Its fun! I'm glad they've changed their mind.

I hope they go back to old school real spy stuff. Double Agent blew imo. The CIA level in the first SC is my favorite.

don't give out info like that I haven't played Splinter cell DA yet(don't have the computer(yet)) gonna build it during the weekend and try out splinter cell DA.

Sam fisher looks cool with a beard but the fugative style is probably not best suited for him. Its turned into an assault based genre for some weird reason. That was the same problem with the first splinter cell it was stealth and then during the last couple of mission you really had to kill the guards in-order to not get spotted or had to pass the missions.

I haven't gotten the chance to play much of CT(Freakin starforce protection nonsense). Every bloody time I play it its restarts my computer.

Yeah starforce blows. Chaos Theory is okay. Pandora Tomorrow was good too. the first one is classic though.

classic splinter cell ftw but you can't deny that ubi wrecked the ending when you start shooting people. Its wasn't meant to be a assault based game you were meant to be a spy and retrieve information and not to kill people. It was like playing james bond game which are okay but they aren't splinter cell

Well it made the ending interesting and un-boring. Imagine how bored you would feel if you end the game by sneaking out for extraction without anyone knowing. I liked the last level personally. After being slick and quiet it was nice to go out with a bang.

THAT is what i wanted to hear!!! old school with DX10 graphics chaos theory was the BEST splinter cell! i hope theyl make this one as good as chaos but with dx10 graphics! THAT would be a best selling game!
