For what it's worth, I don't think you need a bolt through for this fan. It's really not _that_ heavy. How were you having bent motherboard issues with your stock cooler though? That seems impossible.

As to whether a bracket kit would work, it should. The push pins on the Vendetta 2 are the same type on the stock cooler (I have another cooler with a totally different push-pin system). If they are removed, the cooler has a strong, steel frame lined up with the 775 mount. Should be no problem. If someone does this, take pics and post them.

Major ROFL, wasn't sure about posting it, me being a new member and big time NOOB

Making you guys laugh made me laugh .
Well, ***** happens when building pc's and trying to read overclock.net at the same time.. I was so pissed of about it and didn't look at the case for about a week. Last night, I took another shot at it and everything worked out great.

Don't know why, but the mobo is perfectly straight now, with the standard OCZ pins) maybe in the future I will go for the bolt thru kit (cause it's a gadget ) Thanks for the advice, saved me money!

The rig is now set and ready to go. Next step is trying to find a descent overclock. It's going to be my first overclock and I'm a little scared about it.
But with the help of you guys I think even I can do it...

First, download RealTemp (accept no substitutions). Keep your maximum temp below 70C (this should be really really easy).

Just print and do this:
Boot to your bios.
Open "MB Intelligent Tweaker (M.I.T)"
Change "CPU Clock Ratio" to say "8x"
Enable "CPU Host Clock Control"
Change your "CPU Host Frequency" to "400MHz"
Change your "System Memory Multiplier" to 2.0 for a total of 800MHz.
You probably don't need to change voltages for this small of an overclock.

Key things: Stick to a 2.0 memory multiplier. Keep your RAM:FSB at 1:1 for best results. Only run your RAM at 1000MHz if you can do it with a 500MHz FSB. If you're FSB won't go that high, put it as high as you can and double it with your ram, don't use 2.4 or 2.5 multipliers, etc.

You might need to lightly bump the FSB. I did a little on my GA-P35-DS3P but don't need to on my X38-DS4.

Good luck, let me know how it works out!!

+1 for letting us laugh at his fail.

Do you have a photo of your unconnected SATA?
