(my current setup should be at the bottom)

im thinking about changing to intel from amd and was wondering is this a good setup for about £100 (suggestions are more than welcome)

http://www.microdirect.co.uk/(23294)...Intel-P31.aspx

and

http://www.microdirect.co.uk/(36392)...00Mhz-FSB.aspx
or
http://www.microdirect.co.uk/(35325)...e-2x24GHz.aspx

and will it be overclockable?

thanks in advance,

andy

I'd probably go for something like this:
Net Total £85.69
Carriage £6.49
V.A.T. £16.13
TOTAL £108.31

Better motherboard, with much more overclocking features/capabilities, and the E2180 will overclock better than the E2220 you picked. If you can afford it, the E4700 is definitly worth it though, but in that case the E7200 also comes into the picture...

Yup, good choices Chozart. Remeber to shop around the big e-tailers. The e7200 looks promising, but the e2180 is a great overclocker - the e2200 isn't worth the extra IMHO - Its just an e2180 with a fiddly 11x multi - 10x of the e2180 is much easier, plus the e2180s seem to overclock better anyway. The p35-DS3L is about the best dual core low-price board.
