DVD Audio loss with Audigy 2?

Thread Starter
I have a rather old Audigy 2 ZS, and recently when I try to play DVDs some audio streams are missing. For example, opening 'The Simpsons', the menu sound effects all play fine, the theme and background music is fine, but about half the sound effects come through and there is no voice playback.

Using WMP 11, logitech 5.1 speakers, no 3rd party drivers. I bought a second DVD drive and I get the same problem on the old one and the new one. Any suggestions on what might be wrong and how to fix it?
