Just off 16000 on factory settings, I will overclock it over the next few days and see how it scores.

Cheers

Edit: looks like 3Dmark06 thinks i have 1024 Graphics memory. Strange i thought it should say 896 not 1024, (must be a bug)
those are pretty impressive scores for a 260, i get about 17k with 2 heavily overclocked 3870s

my 280 is here but i missed the delivery :swearing: i have to wait 2 more hours b4 i can pick it up lol, sounds pathetic but i'm like counting down the seconds!!

Nice score. I will update yours as soon as I get a chance. The read is correct. GTX260 has 896 ram because its 448bit (64*7) interface.

I could not help my self so i thought i would give the 260 a quick nudge.

Stock 650/1059/1400

GPU Clock: 780 MHz
Memory: 1209 MHz
Shader: 1594 MHz

http://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/hessb/

Only ran Video card stability test for 20mins 61c with fan at 100% with no problems so far, i will give it a full test latter to see how far it will go stable. It will go over the 16000 on 3dmark06 for sure.

Update, 3Dmark06

Gaz32 2nd test 3Dmark06 score 16362 3DMarks
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=7426682

Stable clocks for games and 3Dmark06

GPU Clock: 760 MHz
Memory: 1160 MHz
Shader: 1580 MHz

http://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/ane4k/

So not a big gain with the overclock, 467 is the difference from stock to overclock but i am happy with the card.

I just ran 3d06 at 660 gpu / 1448 shader / 1150 memory and got 15203
between tests the gpu was getting up to 68-72 degrees fan speed is at 80%

those temps were about the same as stock so hopefully i still have room to go

also im using 177.39 should i try the 177.41 drivers?

GTX280 too slow and too hot for the next generation product. I am waiting for 40nm GTX380 with 1Gb DDR5. GTX380 should have enough firepower to beat HD4870x2.

We could also say the same thing about SLI 9600GTs, not to mention my single 8800GT lol.
Thats exactly the same as saying, GTX280s are simply too slow for future games that are to be released in about a year, so I will speculate about a future product and wait for 1< year.
By the time the 'GTX380 1GB DDR5' arrives, games will probably require a lot horsepower than that.

Haha yeah not much of a winter up here, When summer comes i will have to watch the temps when we hit the 30 to low 40s so it might be a good excuse to grab a quad, SLI and w/c the system
