Basicly, his CPU just doesn't have enough house power to show any real boost in SLi.

NormanD, I would suggest spending money upgrading your CPU before considering SLi.

wrong. it means games dont fully utilize the power so i notice no difference. ihave plenty of CPU power at my hands. say 4.85ghz worth

It's the cards OC. As you increase the clocks you will notice the bandwidth increasing.

I'm packing 1 eVGA GTX 280 Superclocked currently folding @ 666Mhz/1512Mhz/1215Mhz keeping a consistent 68c with the fan locked @ 86%. It can fold 7500PPD. I do stop/slow my folding every day after work playing movies/games.

This card is great, but if you plan on folding with it, keep an a/c in the window. It's 30F outside where I am, and my PC is in a room of the house that the heat is broken. I keep 2 windows cracked open in that room, because it will get 80F in there due to the GPU, and added power load.
