Word is going around that NVIDIA will lower the price of the GeForce GTX 260 from $449 to $399 to make the card more competitive against ATI's Radeon HD 4870.

Here's a little summary of the expected MSRPs:

AMD Radeon HD 4850: $249
AMD Radeon HD 4870: $349
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260: $399
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280: $600-$650?

SLI'd 260's anyone?
That would probably draw a lot more power than two 9800GTX's

Hmmmm

Clock speeds of some of the factory overclocked GTX 280s which may be useful to overclockers.

Core/Memory (DDR)/Shader Clock

Reference Nvidia GTX 280 - 602/2200/1300
Zotac GTX 280 AMP! Edition - 700/2300/1430
Asus GTX 280 TOP - 670/2430/1460

The ones below are known to exist but the clock speeds are not yet known, they will be updated once they are announced.

EVGA GTX 280 SC - ???
EVGA GTX 280 SSC - ???
EVGA GTX 280 FTW - ???
EVGA GTX 280 Black Pearl Edition - ???

I dont quite understand what happened to there shader speed?? why is it so slow tbh? ok.. maybe the fact that there ~50% more efficient makes up for it.. but why the cut from around 1700mhz to 1300mhz?..

judging from those speeds.. im guessing i could OC one of those babies to around 725~750/2450/1500~1600
