help me out with my crazy new fan

Thread Starter
So i found this with some older electronic equipment that was being thrown out, and i have NO idea how to hook it up or what it needs. Looks like it would be pretty badass if i got it working tho.

Anyone know how i would go about hooking this up to a molex connector? or 5....

It looks to be a 120mm, but much thicker and heavier than a normal computer one, and feels like its designed to move a lot more air.

the pic could show less crotch and more connector but i think I see 115v AC on that label, if so it isnt for a 12v dc PC. Could probably rig something to convert it but I cant say what. Ill stick to POTS and SPST switches thank you very much

good luck tho, let us know if you rig it up

Works on 0.29 Amps from what I saw...On hooking it up, I don't think its worth the trouble to get a converter, plus it would be loud.

It certanially feels loud, but my pc allready sounds like a 747, not gunna change things much, i game with headphones and use a full suspend so no fans or anything are running.

I tried with the crotch, but i dont think the camera i used has a macro or close option, and all the closer shots where really blurry, that was the optimal combo of label and connector. The connector looks like half a molex plug, like 2 of the prongs.

I suppose im showing my electrical stupidity here, but isnt a fan just a coiled wire? shouldnt it spin wether it has AC or DC going thru?
