yeah but anyone in their right mind, when purchasing valuables on ebay, especially things of a high value, should always read a persons feedback. if they start reading a lot of negative comments, marked positive or not, you can put two and two together.
still, i agree, this seems like a very drastic and perhaps damaging idea. i can sympathise with their reasons though, it makes sense. if a buyer pays right on time, emails promptly and does everything right, then his/her job is done and should therefore receive positive feedback. if the product is then either faulty, fake, or the seller's job is a total disaster, the buyer than should reserve the right to leave the negative feedback the seller deserves.
any decent buyer would obviously contact the seller first and try make amends before leaving feedback.
they are right, dishonest feedback would be left a lot of the time, for fear of received negative feedback in return, when reasons for negative feedback from buyer to seller are legitimate.
i think that its wrong for sellers to wait for feedback from buyers BEFORE leaving their own, just in case buyers leave negative.
