Building a Budget Gaming/Media PC

Thread Starter
Not exactly a gaming, but I would like it to be fast.

If someone can put together some parts that be awesome, and oh yea especially a Media type case.

Intel or AMD dont matter.

My budget is around 300 to 400.

Thnx in advance.

I'd suggest:

AMD 45w 4850e 2.5ghz CPU - $90
780G Motherboard with HDMI- $80
2gb RAM ddr2-667 or 800-$30
250gb hd- $55
DVDRW- $22
Antec NSK1380 cube form factor, mATX small case with 350w earthwatt 80%+ effeciency- $90

total: about $367

what you get:
Very small quiet form factor pc with the best integrated graphics available to date. You can play most games with medium setting on 1280x1024 or lower. PC comes with HDMI port for HTPC connection. The integrated graphics also offers hardware acceleration for blu-ray and HD-dvd playback.

what you should consider:
-4gb of ram
-you can oc the integrated video card on this one quite well and get a nice boost, this is perhaps the only oc-able integrated graphics card. expect at least 30% oc
-just add a video card if you want gaming performance in the future, you can also run hybrid xfire with the 780g integrated
-change the case if you need more drive bays, i really like small htpc so i put that one

So far I'm looking at this mobo....

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128090

along with a 4850e

Is that the motherboard with the OC option for the video card? And what exactly is Hybrid Xfire?

dude dont make 2 threads on this...

gigabyte is good brand, go with ecs to save $15

hybrid xfire is crossfire with 2 different ati video cards

get the 5400 if you are not overclocking, otherwise get 4850e since it uses less power
