Worth the extra $. But out of the list you posted I would have to go with the Asus 750I.

EVGA 750i FTW, EVGA 780i, or XFX 780i. Don't get the MSI or ASUS, people say they suck for quads. EVGA and XFX are reference boards. And don't even bother with 680i. the 700 series are better for your money. I'm going to be upgrading to 780i hopefully pretty soon.

id say the 780i

The 790i is the best. I've owned all of the 680i and 780i boards and thus speak from personal experience.

the only downside is price and the need to go DDR3

On a lighter budget the EVGA 750i or more robust with tri-sli support, the evga 780i

From what I've seen when comparing the motherboards, I like the EVGA 780i.

Its only DDR2 compatible, but hey, its a great price.

I wouldn't touch it. MSI + Non refence design = Bad waiting to happen.

MSI has bad reviews. I was SO close to picking up an open box one until I read the reviews. Then I realized how many open box ones Newegg had in stock. And I thought people had to have been returning them for a reason. They say it's AWFUL for quads. Go with EVGA. Then do their step up program later when you're ready to upgrade.
