Dual v Triple v Quad - Page 3

Get, AMD Phenomâ„¢ 9850 Black Edition. <-It has unlocked multiplier for superior overclocking. PLUS, most of the tri-core processors are originally the quad-core version, but with a disabled core due to manufacturing errors.

You can only overclock LGA1336 processors AFAIK but that doesn't mean Nehalem is un-OCable.

I am sorry and I know this will get a rise.....I would never waste my money on a technology that bridges 2 Intel Core 2's together.

Go true quad or go home.

The "Intel Quad" is a joke. This is what happens when Intel fans get on a AMD thread.

While the Intel quads are not true quadcores, the still outperform the +1 year newer AMD technology...

The X3's are released already? I didn't hear anything O.O
Somehow that doesn't sound good, releasing new CPU's and NOT making advertisements...

The X3 8750 is a really good overclocker, my friend has one and it overclocks to 3.2 with just a tad more vcore then stock.. Thinking of getting that or the 9850.. Would also be nice to see some overclocking result of the 8450..
