So I think this should be fine...assuming it's compatible. I'm trying to keep the cost to a minumum - these specs alone should be huge overkill. She was talking about how her brother's P4 (2004 Dell) is "lightning fast" so I think she'll love this. lol
1GB hard drive lol, i remember when I was using 1.2GB Hard drive it was back in Pentium 133 days 2mb video card, 16mb ram play Total Annihilation.... anyways back to topic

I built my mother-in-law a Vista Ultimate system with Sempy 3400+ and 1GB RAM+ onboard everything everything rock solid, she never have one complaint on speed, she thinkg it's fast (she think it's everything better compaire to her last computer P4 2.8HT/1GB Ram/FX5200)

and built another system with XP also only 1GB Ram, but happen to be that same very LE-1150, they are not slow at all, I pop a 7600GT in guy's computer and he ram all his 3d MMOgames smooth as well as doing other stuff like movie and downloading (with chinese programs imagine how crappy they are )

1GB of ram is fine if u don't want to spend more for mom
LE-1150 is solid, not slow if there's no need to spend more for mom

I have to agree with a dual core, I picked up a used 3600 here for $35 shipped.
