9800GX2 id say. Then you can go with a cheaper non-SLi board. Liek a P35.

Also, the 750i boards are not that badly priced. the Asus board is about $140, the EVGA 750i ftw not much more.

They are solid overclockers as well.

Quad Sli on the GX2 Doesn't Scale as well as you would think, quad sli is a waste of money and its basically useless. and the current Record being held in 3dmark06 is only one GX2 if you didn't notice. save your money and sli the GTS.. also the GT200 is coming out really soon so you might just want to skip the GX2/GTS altogether

2xGTS will OC better. GX2 to for case space/airflow, bragging rights.

But if you're really looking to blow some cash I'd pick up 9800GTX x2/x3. Will perform better than a GX2/GX2x2 respectively.

I beg to differ. I would assume the GX2 scales better as a single card than the 8800GTS would in SLI. I must admit the GX2 is more expensive than the 8800GTS BTW. The highest end card always bangs chedar.

Quad SLI does not blow away Tri SLI.. Its gently beats it.

Please do research before blurting out obsenities.
And missleading others.
