Try upping your FSB voltage.

FSB Voltage and (G)MCH have about 2:1 ratio. So up the FSB voltage one notch and test ram with memtest ... and so on ... if after two advances on FSB-V still no luck increase (G)MCH.

I actually got the EP35-DS3L..and I think this motherboard is limiting my Vcore due to energy save? CPU-Z says my vcore is at 1.264 to 1.280 while it was set to 1.45..anyone know how to or can disable that function?

that is the problem i think.

There is no solution unfortunately, short of volt-modding your motherboard.

That is called vdroop. If you look at the vcore in cpuz when the CPU is idling, it will be alot higher, and will decrease under load. This is a characteristic of alot of modern motherboards.

Ok, I got the REAL P35 DS3L.. it's at 3.4 GHz at the moment.

Wow the VDroop for it is so high..I set the Vcore at 1.5V and on CPU-Z it shows 1.38 to 1.39. If I want it higher would it be OK to set it higher than 1.5V due to the VDroop?

Bad thing is..running prime95, the cpu goes up to 70C...=(

A wise man once said: "I canna push her any faster Captain -- She's gonna blow!"

Do you actually have any problems at this speed ? or are you just upping the volts because you think CPUZ should be showing some magical number youve got in your head...

1.5v for 3.4 seems excessive.
