Ok this is my first "real" build. ive added parts before etc. im using microatx simply because it is cheap and has low space requirements.

this will be a computer i want for the next 2-3 years to be a solid gaming rig.

Q9450-is it reasonable to oc to 3.2 on air with out excessive temps? i.e. over 60
2gb balistics tracer @ 800
9800gtx- what kind of overclocking numbers can i get from this?
250gb hd
MASCOOL heatsink- it got good newegg reviews and was cheap-
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835150082
-will this be enough to reach 3.2ghz ?
- also what voltages (roughly) should i be aiming for?

finally @ 1280x1024 (i think thats the right res for a 17 inch screen) what roughly will be my fps in COD4 and crysis

-ive been waiing forever to lay these games- the day i got them my motherboard died- so yea

1)They're 45nm quads - you should be able to push that one to 3.6ish C

2) Voltage limits 45nms more than heat (don't go past 1.4ish)

3) A Xigmatek 120mm HDT cooler is about as much as I would be willing to "cheap" out without knowing that I would be compromising cooling capabilities... suck it up and spend $10 more for a HSF that's on par w/ a Tuniq and not much worse than a unlapped TRUE

4) You'll be seeing killer 100+ FPS in COD4 with maxed out settings... Crysis will still make that system (and almost anything that didn't cost you your soul) cry - probably 25ish FPS on high settings / 15-20ish on very high
