Single vs Double Sided DDR2?

How can I tell the difference between single and double sided sticks? Looking specifically @ Tracers.... I've heard things about # of LED rows, clips, and serial # ending.... Also, how can you tell if sticks are the coveted D9 revision?

Thanks in advance guys!

Single sides has no clips on top, double sides has clips on top to keep heatspreaders in place.

I did a bit more reading and found that the serials end with something along the lines of 8FD5 or 16FD5 (the latter being double sided)... Mine have 2 rows of LEDs, RAM modules on both sides, and a serial that ends in 16FD5 - so am I right to assume that they're double sided?

Also, I'm guessing that 16FD9s or some variation on that would be the famous double sided D9s?

i believe both ss an dbs have d9 chips but the ds ones are better

Really Double or Single Sided really dosent make a difference.

I have 2 pairs of ballistix one double sided the other single sided.

They both overclock very similar.

yeah... I jsut looked in my rig and realized mine don't have clips on 'em, so they're probably single sided. that makes me sad

I have 2 more gigs coming from newegg w/in the next 2 days, mybe those will be double sided? ...

These OC only slightly better than my old G.skill PKs did

I just looked closer, mine don't have clips but are double-sided. and I should give them more credit. they go to ddr2 1000 5-5-5-15 easily when I give my mobo's mem controller extra voltage. the s/n ends in: .16FD5
