Now I have been thinking of getting a 360. Now before people say OMG get a PS3..well I have news for you. I have owned a PS3 and sold it due to the fact it was not used and was too expensive to have sitting around collecting dust.

The main reason I want a 360 is that its cheaper and I want XBL as all my mates have a 360 and I would like to have some sweet online gaming!.

Now I have looked at the Premium and Elite SKU's and at current I think I am just going to go for a premium.

I will tell you why.

1. The Premium comes with all the essentials..HD/AV cable, Headset and the basic obvious stuff..oh and 20GB HDD lol.

2. Due to the Updates the Premium has the falcon motherboard just like the Elite with HDMI and 65NM ETC.

So all in all the only thing I am really not getting is the larger HDD from what I can see..oh and the HDMI cable.

I dont wish to seem ignorant but is the Elite actually that worth it ? considering I want to go with a cheap console gaming solution. When I say cheap I mean Premium being the lowest...I dont want that Arcade thing lol.

Its just that now All the Xbox consoles have the new revised hardware it just seems to me the only REAL difference is that the Elite has a 120GB hdd, Big whoop ?.

The way I see it is if I want a larger HDD in the future for whatever reason then I can get it seperately !

Sorry for the Essay lol.
i say it is worth it. i have had a premium then upgraded to an Elite when they were released. i have filled up over 50gb on that HD, with movies, tv shows, demos etc. And the black looks much better in my stand. the difference equates to you buying the 120 gb harddrive seperate. When i bought mine, the difference between the consoles was less than buying the 120 gb hd seperate. Now it is equal. Will you use that much space? Do you care about color? If not, just get the premium.

I was under the impression that the 360 may be using Game Installs soon, so having the larger HDD will be nice.

The only way to fill up a 360's 120GB is to download things off XBL. So unless yo plan on getting every demo out there and plan on buying lots of shows off Live, there's no sense in the 120GB hard drive.

You've probably already made your decision, but oh well I might as well give my input.

I would opt for the Elite. I got an Elite (because it was black, yeah, I admit it ^_^) and figured I would never fill up my 120gb hard drive. I also figured I'd never really DL anything off of XBL. Boy was I wrong. I have 80gb filled up as we speak.

There are SO many demos and great XBLA games - not to mention random little TV episodes and such that you might want. XBL is only expanding and you'll wish your HDD could too.

Anywho, that's how it worked out for me. I was astonished at how fast my HDD filled up and all my friends with a Premium wish they had a bigger HDD. If you're really set on not DLing that much though, then ya, go for the premium. It's no tragedy if you have to upg your HDD later on, either. (:

get premium, that way you have some money left over to get some games, accesories etc. also just b/c the premium doesn't come with an HDMI cable, the component HD cable works great on its own supporting 1080i, but if you want the extra Hz's w/ HDMI, you can buy a simple $2-$25 cord from an e-tailer.

But why not PC??

I have two 360s, the one with the 20gb drive is full and i have to delete items off it before I can download something new, the elite I can just download more right away.

If you're only going to play the discs then get the premium.
