E.G Bad Coding
Considering the newer 8800's perform much better than the GTX and the Ultra, especially in Crysis, I wouldn't be too sure. Not to mention 3-way SLI doesn't perform all that well.

Though I'll give you Crysis copes with AA very poorly.

I revise my statement

When 2 9800GX2's [Thats 4 8800GTS's [512] cannot play Crysis @Max specs with good FPS there is a problem

e.g Bad Coding

I heard that 2 9800GX2's get great performance at max settings, minus AA. And when I say heard I mean saw. I'm not looking to start a war, but these guys worked hard at Crysis, and you crap all over them for bad coding? I think it's a great game, the coding isn't the greatest (eg cod4), but it's not terrible.

Sorry Rusty but i really really have to disagree with you

It has bad coding...like...real bad

An advanced GFX Card such as a 9800GX2 Should be able to play a game like Crysis with AA / AF on, 2 of them should be able to do it easy!

A single 9800GX2 would get quite good FPS in COD4 with AA

Compare that to Crysis

Now do you see the difference?

If you don't mind me saying, COD4 is no Crysis. Crysis is far more advanced. Don't get me wrong, I love both games. Cod4 is a fantastic game, very well coded, but for the visuals Crysis totes, I think you're expecting far too much performance.

compare cod4's graphics and what is being rendered in crysis and you would see a difference, tri sli and quad sli scale poorly atm so thats why you can't see the gains in crysis.
take a look at these bechmark results

Adjust the in-game settings until you achieve your desired frame rate.
The fact that you can max other games has absolutely nothing to do with whether or not Crysis is coded badly or not.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions Rusty, you may not agree with them but you don't need to act like that...for your sake

I'm not disagreeing with anyone here, but could someone elaborate on the term 'bad code' when it's applied to Crysis? I too have experienced bad frame rates in Crysis but I thought it was just my system.
