Sometimes that $100 - $150 isnt there when your doing large orders. I think it would be handy, and is more of a rival to even a OLPC..
1. Yes I know there are other companies, but in terms of the mainstream there is only Intel, AMD, Via, IBM, and to a lesser extent ARM. This one falls below all of that.
2. Have you ever ran an operating system off of a USB thumb drive? Its slow. Painfully slow. This laptop doesn't even have the option for a hard drive.
3. $250 is a lot, considering that the OLPC XO-1, which costs $100 less, offers literally twice the performance.
