It's based on a FSP Epsilon so it isn't my first choice. It's not a bad psu, it just doesn't perform well at high loads. I do know that you won't be able to get a quality modular 700W at that price. Is this for your current system? If so, I would go for a Corsair hx520 if you wanted a quality modular psu.

Ive read the review and it peaks at about 790W. no only that but it had 4 rails at 20A each. it doenst spike as much as well. the corsair is a quality PSU but i just cant bring my slef to get it. i will be running 2 GTS's in SLi and will be getting a much jucier system all together. thats the main reason.

Do you have a link to the review?

edit- A link to the retailer you plan on using would be nice to check out prices.

Look into Silverstone's Decathlon series. Not sure how much they go for over in the UK, but it's an amazing, high-quality PSU.

For overclocked gts sli I would recommend ~600W. I know you aren't going to find what I would consider a quality modular psu for £65 at that level. If there aren't any alternatives, the OCZ will be fine since you will never load it to where it starts to show out of spec ripple.

While that review is a nice try, a step above many reviews, I still have some problems with it. For one, he didn't use a load tester and his test system only had a gts640 and a e6600. At full load that may only use 300W DC, hardly enough to test the upper limits of the psu. And I have to question the ripple results. Jonny saw 100mV ripple on the 12V rail by about 400W when he tested the 700W model. That is close to being out of spec already. I'm also confused by his regulation results. The Epsilons almost always have great regulation but he recorded a delta of ~0.5V. That is huge! Like 4 times what other people have found for this model.

Anyways, I still wouldn't recommend this psu. It's got a nice price, but you have to keep it under 600W to keep ripple under control. The Corsair hx620 will still be more expensive at this range. Either way, you can buy this psu if you want and it won't be the end of the world or spend a bit more for a proven performer.

edit: His regulation charts are a bit confusing and not explained well, so I think I was wrong about the regulation delta. Either way, ripple is a known problem. And FYI there is a revision to the Epsilon popping up but there is no proof they are showing up in the OCZ psus.

Why not get the Corsair 620HX. Don't know how much is it in the UK, but it can be had new for around 120 to 130 in the US.

The modular Corsairs have a pretty big markup in the UK, they are ~£90 for the 620 and £65 for the 520 inc VAT.
