Id leave it at 800MHz... you wont see any or very very little performance gain from increasing your memory speed... 1:1 is the magic ratio, anything over that and your not going to notice it.... only in RAM benchmarks not in real world apps/games. You could try 4-4-4-12 seen as its underclocked

EDIT... If ya wanna see performance gains then crack that quad up some more. 3.2GHz is a nice OC for that quad and it should do it on stock voltage

Go into the bios and alter System Memory Multiplier. Underclocking doesnt make sense unless you wanted to run 1:1.

You can see the effect of your setting as you alter it in the bios. I think 3.20B is what I had mine at with 3.0ghz = 1066 stock Ram. I have 8500 ram also.

There is no point in running ram faster than you cpu... it doesn't increase performance, the only point in having PC2-8500 ram is if you want to run 533FSB.

I havent said anywhere it does. Lets not argue about it. I am showing him the setting that will give him the full 1066 potential of his ram.

K thnx.

all right guyz, pretty good suggestions, the point is, that this MOBO´s BIOS its says memory multiplier and you get values like 2 / 2.40 / 3 / 3.33 / 3.40 / 4/ , i just did a lil tweaking and modified value to 3.33 and memory just got at 1066 MHZ, but the mem ratio says 5:6, anyhow i can get 1:1.

Thnkks guyyzz!! keep it coming...

drop the cpu multi to 8 intead of 9, set the ram divider to 2 and set the FSB to 400... that will give you 3.2GHz and more memory bandwidth. You could also try 4-4-4-12 as your ram will be at 800MHz so you could get the better timmings than 5-5-5-15
