Don't worry about 1:1 ratio. It does not apply to Intels, even if you believe it to be magical for AMD.

Keep your ratio at 5:6 for 1066MHz if you want. If not, run it 1:1. Neither is going to make much (if any) difference.

You wont need to increase memory voltage and probs not cpu either.. try it at stock, at the max you'd maybe need to add a couple of notches on your cpu volts but it will probs be stable at stock 1.3250 volts.

I should have said current Intel chipsets.

I don't have time to search the tests for you while I'm at work, but OCN has plenty of threads on it. Start here: http://www.overclock.net/intel-memor...2-1-1-1-a.html

I second that; though for the fun if it you might wanna try 7*430 and run the the RAM at 860 it's a 0.1% performance difference though

(ps; 860 ram with 4-4-4-12 timings would be nice ^^ ; though I'd suggest to volt it up a bit if you're going to try that)
So sexy it Hz

As long as you run your memory at the same speed/or a bit higher than your cpu you should be fine. Ive done some testing with dividers of 2, 2.4, 2.5 and 3 and there is very little real world performance increse between them.

since your RAM is PC2-8500 you could go with say the 2.5 divider, i think that would be best.

So try.... 8x cpu multi, 400FSB, memory multi 2.5... that will give you 3.2GHz cpu and 1000MHz RAM with good bandwidth. Try stock volts and if you need a bit more on the cpu (which you probs wont) bump it up to 1.35

OR

9x CPU multi, 356FSB, memory multi 3... that will give you 3.2GHz cpu and 1068 RAM

No amount of running Ram to CPU 1:1 will make up for the lost speed. If you bought pc2-1066 run it at that speed. You should be fine, although you may have to loosen the timings a bit at a higher FSB. You may even be able to overclock your RAM a bit once you have found the max for your cpu. Increased RAM speeds shows much more real world perforance increase than running at 1:1.

So what divider do you recon he's best with ??

And also how many more FPS on average in a game would you get by running say a memory multi of 2 compared to 2.5 in this case that would be 3.2GHz cpu with 800MHz RAM Vs 3.2GHz cpu with 1000MHz RAM ??????

Well, I can't speak for the exact board. But bump it up 2 notches more so he is from 800mhz to 1066mhz.
