Using Ibook G4 as a modem?

Thread Starter
Hey so i have my modem and router set up in a different room from my desktop. I can easily access the internet on the g4 because of its internal wireless capabilities. I dont feel like going to get a wireless card for the desktop right now, and im wondering if there is a way to use the g4 as some type of modem for my desktop? I have it hooked up through ethernet and a router right now, and it says i am connected, but i do not get websites or any real connectivity. Anyone have any ideas?

You can bridge your connections on the iBook to do it.

But really... just spend the money on a wireless card, they're dirt cheap.

It's $1.99! So what's your excuse.

You can use it as a router/hardware firewall with such things as smoothwall
