at 1k i should also set the timing to 5-5-5-15?

would it be better if it underclock it 755mhz and have the the ratio 1:1?
i'll overclock to 3.4ghz for now.

If you can go 1T and 4-4-4-12 or lower at 755 it might be better then 1000 5-5-5-15.

I suggest to go FSB 400 (FSB QDR 1600), multi 9 and you get 3,6 on that E8400, vcore somewhere between 1,175 - 1,25 (even if you have stock cooling there´s no problem) and your ram at 800 4-4-4 1T (if the can do it) or 1000 5-5-5-15 2T, this way you get better bandwidth and latency then with your current setting.

You can compare bandwidth and latency with Everest Ultimate´s "Cache and Memory Benchmark".
