The Q9450 will overclock a bit higher, but I personally don't think it's worth the extra $140. If you have the money, the Q9450 is definitely "better" though.

What he said. The Q9450 is a better CPU but as for price to performance I say its not worth it.

Q9450 will NOT overclock more then Q6600 because it has a much lower multy that is 8 vs 9 of Q6600. People here would recomend you a Q6600.

For many there are temp issues with the q9450 and they don't overall overclock as well.

I was going to get a q9450 but got a q6600 instead. Much better investment

The Q6600 will clock higher due to having a higher multi of x9. The Q9450 has only an x8 multi. So in order to get a Q9450 anywhere decent you need a hefty FSB. Personally i would recommend the Q6700 with a 10x multi....
