Hi guys, just registered about 10 minutes ago..

Anyhow I'm getting a new pc tomorrow, my buddy is putting it together for me.

I am curious at to if i will be able to overclock it?

Can anyone give me some info?

My Pc

BFG Tech BFGE98512GTXE GeForce 9800 GTX(G92) 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Retail

Antec EA650 650W ATX12V Ver.2.2 / EPS12V version 2.91 Power Supply

G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1000 (PC2 8000) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F2

Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD3200AAKS 320GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive

ASUS P5N-D LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 750i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard

Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor

Any info would be much appreciated....I've read that some people have clocked the E8400 up to 4GHz and some up to 3.8........Would that be possible with my MoBo?

Thanks guys

On the stock heatsink you should be able to hit 3.5Ghz, depending on room temperatures.

Should've gotten a 8800GTS (G92) card though. The GTX is overpriced for an minimal performance increase.

Well i plan on getting another card in a couple months to run it with 2.. its for gaming. i'll be playing AoC...Would the game run better with just one 8800GTS (G92) and overclocked or with 2 of mine?

Well I'm currently waiting on some new ram. I got early access to AoC. ive been playing it this past week getting good, playable fps on max settings 30-60. You should be fine! I get small lag spikes but thats down to my pc not having enough ram. But apart from that, I run fine.
