No POST beep on Intel D945PVS

Thread Starter
I just installed an e7200 CPU into my Intel D945PVS mobo. There is no POST beep, but everything powers up inside the case when I hit the power button. There is also no display, and the lights on my keyboard are not coming on.

What might be wrong, and how can I determine what it is?

BTW, I have 2GB of DDR2-667 Ram installed.

Yes, the mobo http://support.intel.com/design/moth..._available.htm can handle 1066 MHz FSB, and the e7200 runs at 1066 MHz FSB.

that means it supports the p4/dp extreme chips that have 1066 fsb. other wize it doesnt.you need 45nm c2d 1066/1333 support to support that chip.

Really? Crap. So my e7200 will still be good even though I put it in the wrong mobo?
