Its a codec issue "Vegnagun666". Windows Media Player is ok but still crap along with iTunes, and the like. I use K-Lite Codecs. This little installer has all the codecs needed to play vertually any type of media you can throw at it and it comes with Media Player Classic which looks like Windows Media Player v6.2 and below. (Before WMP 7) Don't be fooled by the name and its looks. It may look like the classic player Windows 98se once had, but this player has alot of features that Power DVD, and eqivalent have. You can even use winamp vizuals if you like to watch windows crappy vizuals. If you haven't heard of it try it.
I use my onboard SoundMax X-Fi chip thru SPDIF hooked up to my DTS reciever, and play everything with MPC. The player sends the raw audio to my reciever if its DTS or Dolby and the reciever does the rest, but if you have regular speakers you can make pretty much everything sound like you have sourround plus the extra features includes a whole slew of Video Filter Audio Mixer, AC3Filter. You name it its got it. TRY IT. Or try it again if you already have.
