Although i avoided suggesting it he is right. Theres a good chance there was an error of some kind in the installation process.

i never could mess w/ any buffering settings unless the new nforce mediashield driver did it automatically

OK... Well running orthos cuz i pushed my oc even further.. I've got itunes running and i'm using IE.. I'm getting minor skips.. It seems like a problem related to the amount of stress on the cpu? Well maybe.. this is a pain in the ass.. it hasn't skipped all day cept for now.. and very minor but still skippage

double post sorry..

i'm running wmp11 now to listen ot music.. and its not skipping at all... is there some incompatibility w/ itunes and vista lol... Anywho while we're on the topic of wmp11.. is there any way to get it to read the tags for my m4a files? cuz i got some vista codec pack for it and it reads the files but i have to manually manage my music ie type everything out etc..

Like i said only way that could effect it to my knowledge is a driver conflict. Didn't you say you reinstalled it twice already though?

Dual cores shouldn't be bogged down by integrated sound stress.
