creative x-fi help

i bought a xtreme music. have vista 64 bit. now im getting bsod with error 0x00000124 any one have an idea on how to fix it?

From googling, it appears that that's a bsod code from nvidia cards. I'll do more research.

yeah i googled to but most of those threads were from 2007 and it was a toss up between nvidia and sound problems.
my comp worked fine up until i put the x-fi in it now i get bsod so im think its not the nvidia it is the x-fi

Try putting it in a different pci slot.

the settings also for the rest of my hard disks, just to be sure.

My system is running smoothly again, and has been doing so for now
nearly 3 days straight, without any BSODs whatsoever.

*Check your Hard Disk settings in your BIOS if you're experiencing STOP
0x124 errors. It worked for me, so it may just do the same for you.*

it was working fine for the last week. just today it bsod twice with that error code
