Windows Vista 32bit to 64bit upgrade program

Thread Starter
If i'm not mistaken, microsoft has a deal where send in your 32bit vista for an upgrade to 64bit... Googling hasn't helped me in the past, maybe someone here knows more specifically what I'm talking about or where I could find more info on this? I'm fairly certain that this exists, and seing how I recently upgraded to 4 gigs of ram, now would be the time to trade in my 32bit version of vista. I sure as heck ain't gonna buy it again, hehe!

Thanks

There is an online approach that is included with your Vista copy. All you have to do is fill out the order request with your 32 bit cd-key and they will send you the 64-bit disk for $10+shipping, i think. I did it a while back. It took about 4 weeks before the disk arrived in the mail. you don't have to send them anything but the $$

In the manual somewhere, in the software somewhere... more info would help a ton... I've checked the manual but dont remember anything about it in there... maybe built into the OS somehow?

I have the OEM version, I hope that doesn't affect me...

Thanks!
